The Facilities Technician assists the Facility Manager in the maintenance of C3 nano’s operations in all facilities. Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the operations and the entire facility. Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building as required or directed by the Facility Manager. Acts as primary point of contact for all shipping and receiving needs.
The minimum qualifications for the Facilities Technician include willing to work nights, weekends and holidays, depending on the assigned schedule; may be required to work a split shift; able to work with a minimum of supervision; able to perform a variety of physically demanding tasks, and be able to operate a variety of hand tools, power tools and construction/maintenance equipment. Knowledge of basic facilities, custodial and maintenance practices; knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and electrical maintenance activities; ability to climb a ladder and perform duties in confined spaces; ability to read and understand basic maintenance manuals and procedures. Safety training is preferred, however the ability to become certified to handle, ship, and store hazardous materials is required.
Must possess and maintain a valid California class “C” driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory DMV record to maintain District insurability.
