Proto-type Lab Technician

C3Nano is the developer of the solution-based, transparent conductive inks and films. We are seeking an entry level Lab Technician with an interest in chemicals and materials, a keen eye for detail, and strong passion for working in a fast pace and dynamic environment. The candidate will help in Customer Service and Marketing of various specialty nanomaterials, reporting to the Customer Service Manager.

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of experience in a chemical laboratory or Associates in Science related field with 0-2 years of experience. College or vocational diploma a plus.

  • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational and communication skills; able to record data, label samples, record observations clearly, and prepare reports
  • Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as a team member in a multi-disciplinary environment, willingness to take on new responsibilities

Coating Engineer (Korea)


C3Nano Inc. has an opening for a Coating Engineer stationed in Korea who will be responsible for developing and sustaining roll-to-roll coating operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating pilot and mass production coating lines to produce thin films
  • Troubleshooting in-process coating related issues in a timely manner
  • Tuning parameters to increase efficiency and yields
  • Designing, developing, and implementing process improvements
  • Generating reports and keeping detailed records of all coating trial related data
  • Performing basic lab testing of coating materials to confirm quality


  • BS or MS in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Material Science or related fields with 2+ years of industrial experience
  • Experience in an R&D or manufacturing setting developing roll-to-roll coating processes and equipment including chemical mixing, slot die coating, slitting
  • Familiar with different substrates, protective liners, and hard coats
  • Knowledge of coating materials, methods, and techniques
  • Ability to communicate well with team members, customers, and suppliers
  • Demonstrate excellent problem solving skills with complex product/process issues

Facilities Technician (Hayward, CA)

Qualified candidates will have training, background, and experiences sufficient to satisfy the expectation described in this job description.

The Facilities Technician assists the Facility Manager in the maintenance of C3 nano’s operations in all facilities. Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the operations and the entire facility. Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building as required or directed by the Facility Manager. Acts as primary point of contact for all shipping and receiving needs.

The minimum qualifications for the Facilities Technician include willing to work nights, weekends and holidays, depending on the assigned schedule; may be required to work a split shift; able to work with a minimum of supervision; able to perform a variety of physically demanding tasks, and be able to operate a variety of hand tools, power tools and construction/maintenance equipment. Knowledge of basic facilities, custodial and maintenance practices; knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and electrical maintenance activities; ability to climb a ladder and perform duties in confined spaces; ability to read and understand basic maintenance manuals and procedures. Safety training is preferred, however the ability to become certified to handle, ship, and store hazardous materials is required.

Must possess and maintain a valid California class “C” driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory DMV record to maintain District insurability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received.
  • Packs finished goods for shipping appropriate containers, apply needs labels and organize shipping documents.
  • Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
  • Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets as well as unclogging of drains, etc.).
  • Performs minor painting, carpentry, laminate, vinyl and tile repair.
  • Ensures buildings and equipment are properly cleaned and in good working condition, makes minor repairs as needed.
  • Installs and repairs miscellaneous accessories and equipment.
  • Assist contractors and vendors with major repairs and maintenance of building and its equipment.
  • Responds to routine and emergency calls for service and maintains a record of work completed in the work order system.
  • Receives and completes work orders in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • 2+ years of facilities/general maintenance experience required.
  • Food service equipment or automotive repair a plus.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Work independently without regular direct supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blue prints and procedure manuals.
  • Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
  • Requires walking, standing, squatting, bending and kneeling with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to travel locally.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite products.
