Senior Process Development Engineer 

C3Nano Inc. has an opening for a Senior Process Engineer with a background in chemical or biochemical engineering,process development and optimization, scale-up, and production. Strong knowledge in engineering principles,colloidal science, and rheology, and experience in nanomaterial production, processing, and formulation are desired.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Transfer process from R&D to Production
  • Process development, optimization, control and automation
  • Formulation, scale-up, and production of conductive inks
  • Nanomaterial synthesis optimization and production scale-up
  • Processing of nanomaterial dispersion including separation, purification, filtration, concentration
  • Design and carry out experiments to optimize, streamline, or find alternative method or process to achieve higher productivity, lower cost and consistent process
  • Supply chain management, control supply chain risk, identification and qualification of new raw materials and vendors
  • Cross-functional support and cooperation with the multiple departments including: nanomaterial synthesis, process and operations and R&D

Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in Chemical, Manufacturing,Mechanical Engineering or a Science related field
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering within a chemical or biochemical manufacturing operation
  • Specific knowledge of six sigma, 5S manufacturing environment, ISO9001 quality system, chemical manufacturing and formulation methods and engineering principles, including process development via DOE
  • Technical knowledge of processes/equipment/utilities (e.g., batch processing, tank, filtration, pumping, centrifugation, liquid handling, automation, etc.)
  • Equipment Qualification and Validation IQ/OQ/PQ, SOPs
  • Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems
  • Strong analytical math and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively to keep management aware of potential issues
  • Highly motivated and ability to effectively organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment
  • Proficient in reading and drafting schematics and diagrams
  • High level of safety awareness
  • Must have working authorization in the United States

Process Technician  

We are seeking a Process Technician with an interest in chemicals and materials, a keen eye for detail, and strong passion for working in a fast pace and dynamic environment. The candidate will help in the manufacturing of various specialty nanomaterials under the guidance of senior scientists and/or engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing and purification of materials and chemicals
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Perform testing and analysis in a reliable manner
  • Maintaining Instrumentation
  • Quality control and analysis
  • Inventory upkeep
  • Suggestions for process improvements
  • Communicating any issues during the process with Sr. Scientists or Engineers
  • Implementing and following safe procedures and work environment

Employee Requirements/Experience:

  • High School degree with 3-5 years of experience in a chemical laboratory or Associates in Science related field with 1-2 years of experience
  • Experience with laboratory equipment such as reactors, temperature controllers, and mixers is plus
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards with an acute attention to detail
  • Experience with nanomaterials is plus
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation such as, UV-Vis, Viscometer, and microscope is desired but not required
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to record data, label samples and record observations meticulously and clearly
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Ability to lift and handle weights up to 50 lbs.

Chemical Research Assistant

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Chemistry or Materials Science
  • Two or more years of hands-on experience in a chemical research lab
  • Lab experience in organic or inorganic synthesis, and chemical analysis
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to a challenging and developing environment; willingness to take on new responsibilities
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or
    sponsorship

Job description:

  • Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analyses using techniques such as spectroscopy, physical and chemical separation techniques, and microscopy
  • Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative
    and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and coated thin film materials
  • Participate in phases of product/process development, including discovery, laboratory
    development, characterization and scale-up as needed
  • Prepare chemical solutions for products and processes following standardized formulas,
    or create experimental formulas
  • Compile and interpret results of experiments and analyses. Write technical reports or prepare graphs, charts, and summaries to document and present experimental results

Administrative Assistant

We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant in the management of daily operational and administrative functions of the company. This position is a full-time career opportunity under the guidance of senior management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Handle customer support activities such as; order entry, invoicing, customer service
  • Responsible for Accounts Payable
  • Manage the daily office procurement needs, basic purchasing activity
  • Handle various Human Resources activities, preparing internal employee communications for medical benefits, onboarding, off boarding and managing company policies
  • Responsible for the administration support of office management such as; scheduling, organizing meetings, etc.

Employee Requirements/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required; Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Quick Books, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)
  • Must have a minimum of 5 plus years’ experience in a related work experience
  • Experience with Accounts Payable is a plus
  • Adaptable startup mindset and enjoy a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Flexible, good natured and have a positive attitude
  • Effective problem solver and ability to self-manage
