SENIOR FORMULATION SCIENTIST

Description:
C3Nano Inc. has an opening for a Senior Formulation Scientist with a background in polymer chemistry, physics and science, nanomaterial dispersions, rheology, colloidal science, and thin films.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Formulations of conductive inks for thin film (wet) coatings
  • Cross-functional support and cooperation with the multiple departments including: nanomaterial synthesis, process and operations and R&D
  • Support and technical expertise at coating customers and convertors

Employee Requirements/Experience:

  • PhD in Polymer or Macromolecular Science, Polymer Science and Engineering, or related disciplines
  • 5+ years of industrial experience in ink formulations, polymer science, wet coatings
  • In-depth knowledge of structure-property relationships and materials science for a wide range of polymeric materials
  • Extensive experience with a variety of additives, solvents, polymers, and materials for nanomaterial formulations
  • Extensive background in polymer science and characterization
  • Extensive experience withcoatings including: rheology modification, slot-die, gravure and other low viscosity high speed wet coatings
  • Expertise in electronic materials is a plus
  • Scale-up of ink production is a plus
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary global team
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Candidates must have working authorization in the United States

CHEMIST

Description:
C3Nano Inc. has an opening for a Chemist with a background in synthesis, purification, materials and wet chemistry.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Synthesis and purification of nanomaterials
  • Process development of larger scale synthesis
  • Process development of nanomaterial purifications

Employee Requirements/Experience:

  • MS in Chemistry and 2+ years of industrial experience or BS in Chemistry with 5+ years of industrial experience
  • Strongbackground in general organic, general chemistry, and nanomaterials
  • Ability to perform without close supervision
  • Strong background in wet laboratory and analytical techniques
  • Experience in nanomaterial synthesis is a plus
  • Experience in industrial purification is a plus
  • Experience on scale-up of synthesis is a plus
  • Expertise in electronic materials is a plus
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary global team
  • Documentationskills and proficiency with Microsoft office
  • Flexibility to travel (including internationally)
  • Ability to lift and handle weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Candidates must have working authorization in the United States
